Derek Phillips (actor)

Derek Phillips is an American stage, screen, and television actor. He is best known for his role as Billy Riggins in the NBC television series Friday Night Lights.

Phillips was born in Miami, Florida on April 18, 1976, and attended Baylor University where he received a BFA in acting. Upon graduation Derek moved to New York and began acting professionally in both television and regional theatre performing throughout the country in numerous plays including The Winters Tale , Of Mice and Men , The Glass Menagerie , and King o The Moon .
